Medical Student Charity Outreach Organization (MeSCO)
MeSCO is home to a student-run free community clinic lead by a dedicated team of medical students and physicians from LSU Health Shreveport seeking to promote health and wellness in the Shreveport-Bossier community. Our mission is to mobilize resources to provide no-fee-for-service healthcare and wellness activities in support of those who need it most. We seek to deliver quality care, improve medical literacy, serve as a bridge between patients and specialty providers, and provide valuable community experience for medical students.
We are a recognized member of the Society of Student Run Free Clinics, a national consortium of student-run community clinics across the United States, and have earned a gold rating from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics Quality Standards Program for the past two years.
We look forward to serving our community at upcoming clinic dates. Our schedule can be found on this website and on our social media pages. If you would like more information about MeSCO, please contact us at the email below.
Meet the medical students and physicians serving as members on our Board of Directors.
