The Diabetes Advocacy Group at LSUHS is a student-led organization that focuses on raising awareness for diabetes through community outreach programs. One of our most popular endeavors occurs at local farmers markets where we perform glucose checks and use visual aids to help our area better understand the mechanisms of both types of diabetes mellitus and available management options.
