ANESTHESIOLOGY INTEREST GROUP (AIG)
The Anesthesia Interest Group (AIG) focuses on providing information and resources to those wishing to better understand anesthesia and to explore it as a potential career. The aim of this group is to provide students with all of the knowledge, experiences, and opportunities needed to match into an anesthesia residency. This is achieved by providing members early exposure to the field with unique opportunities to participate in workshops, lectures, research, writing, and networking opportunities with residents and faculty. DERMATOLOGY INTEREST GROUP (DIG)
Dermatology Interest Group (DIG) provides a resource for medical students who are interested in pursuing a career in dermatology and the steps needed to be a successful residency applicant. EMERGENCY MEDICINE INTEREST GROUP (EMIG)
Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG) aims to educate medical students on the field of emergency medicine. This is achieved by providing members exposure to the field with unique opportunities to participate in procedural techniques in hands-on workshops, mentoring and advising sessions with residents and faculty. The aim of this group is to provide students with all of the knowledge, experiences, and opportunities needed to be a well-rounded emergency medicine residency applicant. ENT INTEREST GROUP (ENTIG)
Ear, Nose, and Throat Interest Group (ENTIG) serves to promote educational interactions between medical students and Otolaryngologists, allowing students to gain a greater insight into the field of Otolaryngology. This is achieved by providing members exposure to the field with unique opportunities to participate in in hands-on skills workshops such as suturing, tube placement and flexible scope exam, and mentoring through clinical and research opportunities with faculty. Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) mission is to provide students with access to information and opportunities regarding the field of family medicine. The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Interest Group (PIG) mission is to increase awareness regarding the physical, mental, and emotional rehabilitation encountered in patients with neuromuscular, brain and spinal cord injuries. The Psychiatry Interest Group (PsychSIGN) mission is to provide students with information and opportunities regarding the field of psychiatry. The group is also part of the Psychiatry Student Interest Group Network (PsychSIGN) which is a national network of medical students interested in psychiatry.
